GETTING STARTED

What is tone wow?

tone wow is a mobile service provider offering prepaid telecommunications services through two distinct membership programs: Tone Excel and Tone Plus. These programs cater to different user segments and differ from each other by their respective marketing plans. Both operate on the CelcomDigi network infrastructure and are designed to deliver affordable, reliable mobile connectivity.

How to join tone wow?

Customers may obtain a SIM card through multiple channels, including online purchase via shop.tonewow.com, authorized agents listed on the branch locator, walk-in registration at tone wow headquarters or email orders sent to orders@tonegroup.net. Each method requires the submission of complete and accurate personal information, including full legal name, identification number, selected program type, SIM quantity, and preferred collection method. All SIM sales are final and non-refundable, and delivery charges apply based on location.

SIM Delivery Terms

For orders placed via email or online, delivery within Peninsular Malaysia incurs a minimum fee of RM10, while delivery to Sabah and Sarawak requires a minimum fee of RM20. Delivery is typically completed within 3 to 5 business days. Any SIM purchased via Online SIM Sale and delivery within Klang Valley for orders placed on business days before 3PMwill be delivered and received on the same day. Any orders placed for Premium, VIP and VVIP numbers during weekends and public holidays will be processed on the next business day. Risk of loss or damage passes to the customer upon dispatch, and tone wow shall not be liable for delays caused by third-party couriers.

SIM Activation

Upon receiving the SIM, customers must activate it through the tone wow app by uploading a valid identification document. Once the SIM is activated, an SMS confirmation will be sent, and the SIM will become active immediately. Incompliance with MCMC regulations, each individual is limited to a maximum of 5(FIVE) mobile accounts per telecommunication service provider.

ACCOUNT REGISTRATION & MANAGEMENT

Registration Requirements

To register a tone wow account, customers must provide their full legal name as per their NRIC or passport, a valid identification number, residential address, email address, and emergency contact details. This information is required to ensure compliance with regulatory obligations and to facilitate account recovery and verification processes.

PDPA Compliance

tone wow adheres strictly to the Personal Data Protection Act 2010. All personal data collected is used solely for service provision, account management, and regulatory reporting. Customers have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of their personal data, subject to legal and operational constraints. Requests must be submitted in writing to support@tonewow.net.

Account Limits

In accordance with Bank Negara Malaysia and MCMC guidelines, each customer is limited to a maximum of five mobile accounts per NRIC and a credit balance not exceeding RM1,000.00. Any attempt to exceed these limits may result in account suspension or rejection of top-up transactions.

Profile Updates

Customers may update certain details such as contact information, beneficiary, khairat information and emergency contacts via the tone wow app tone wow member management system portal (TWMMS) or by contacting customer support. However, changes to critical identity fields such as name and identification number require submission of supporting documentation and may be subject to approval.

Account Consolidation

Customers with multiple accounts may request consolidation by emailing support@tonewow.net with the subject line “Merge My Account.” The request must include all relevant account numbers and identification documents

Account Suspension Appeals

If an account is suspended due to suspected misuse, regulatory breach, or non-compliance, customers may submit an appeal with supporting documents to support@tonewow.net. Appeals will be reviewed within 14 business days, and decisions are final unless otherwise directed by regulatory authorities.

SIM CARD SERVICES

SIM Types and Eligibility

tone wow offers various SIM types tailored to different user needs.

LITE SIM – Perfect for beginners seeking a budget-friendly option. This plan does not include internet and does not include Life Insurance but comes with Personal Accident (PA) coverage of RM30,000.00.

PRO SIM – Ideal for members looking to start abusiness at an affordable cost. Includes a better internet plan, PA coverage ofRM30,000.00, and life insurance worth RM4,000.00.

BIZ SIM – Ideal for members looking to start a business with high commission potential, comes with PA coverage of RM50,000.00,and life insurance worth RM4,000.00.

PREMIUM, VIP & VVIP SIMs offer exclusive mobile numbers and are subject to availability and additional terms.

Replacement/MNP SIMs are issued for lost or damaged cards upon verification or can be used to retain your old number after registration with a new number.

SIM Lifecycle and Validity

Each activated SIM card will remain active for30 days, and this period also depends on the total top-up amount in the SIM. After this period, the SIM will enter a barred state for 90 days, during which time only incoming calls and SMS can be received. Once the barred period ends, the SIM will be suspended for 1 day and all services will be disabled. The next day, the SIM will be terminated and SIM reactivation is subject to terms and conditions.

SIM Replacement Process

To replace a lost or damaged SIM, customers must present a valid identification document and owner selfie image for verification. In cases of theft or loss, a police report or statutory declaration may be required. A replacement fee applies, and the original SIM will be permanently deactivated to prevent unauthorized use.

Ownership Transfer Process

Ownership transfers of a tone wow account is permitted in the event that the registered account owner has passed away.

To process the transfer, the following documents must be submitted:

1.  Copy of the Death Certificate of the registered owner
2. Copy of the NRIC (or valid ID) of the new owner
3. Completed Ownership Transfer Request Form

Upon verification, the account will be transferred to the new owner, subject to tone wow’s Terms and Conditions.

MOBILE NUMBER PORTABILITY (MNP)

Eligibility for Port-In

Customers who wish to retain their existing mobile number when switching to tone wow must ensure that the number is registered under their own identification document. The account must be in good standing, with no outstanding bills, contractual disputes, or supplementary lines that are not included in the porting request. Numbers registered under corporate entities require formal authorization from the company.

Port-In Process and Timeline

The port-in process begins with the submission of a request through the designated portal or via an authorized agent. Upon submission, the existing service provider will send a verification SMS to the registered number. Customers must respond to this SMS within the stipulated timeframe to confirm their intent to port. Once verified, the porting process typically takes between 2 to 5 business days. During this period, customers are advised to monitor their service status and avoid making changes to their account. Upon successful port-in, any remaining credit balance with the previous provider will be forfeited. Customers should ensure that they have a minimum credit balance and that they have utilized or transferred any remaining balance prior to initiating the port.

Restrictions & Rejections

Certain numbers may be ineligible for porting, including those registered with Digi (as tone wow operates on the same network), corporate lines without proper authorization, and numbers flagged for regulatory or financial disputes. Additionally, porting requests may be rejected if the customer has exceeded the maximum number of mobile accounts permitted under MCMC regulations.

Port-Out Procedure

Customers who wish to leave tone wow and port their number to another provider must email their details to support@tonewow.net. Once this request has been submitted, our Customer Representative will contact you to verify and get the feedback from the customer.  Once the port-out is completed, all incentives, loyalty points, and data allocations associated with the tone wow account will be permanently forfeited. Customers are advised to redeem or utilize these benefits prior to initiating the port-out.

PLANS & PRICING

Plan Structure and Components

tone wow offers a variety of prepaid plans tailored to different usage patterns. Each plan includes allocations for high-speed internet, basic internet, social media access, video streaming, and unlimited calls. High-speed internet is carry-forward enabled, allowing unused data to roll over to the maximum 3 cycles. Basic internet resets monthly and is subject to speed limitations. Social media and video streaming allocations are optimized for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.

Auto-Renewal Mechanism

Plans are designed to auto-renew provided the Customer maintains a sufficient credit balance. The system performs a balance check 24 hours prior to the plan’s expiry. If the required amount is available, the plan renews automatically. If not, the auto renewal will not succeed and the high-speed internet will not be carried forward, the plan will terminate, and the customer must manually reactivate it. Customers are advised to monitor their balance to avoid service disruption.

Fair Usage Policy (FUP)

Unlimited services are governed by a Fair Usage Policy to ensure equitable access across the network. Excessive usage may result in speed throttling, additional charges, or temporary suspension of services. tone wow reserves the right to enforce FUP in accordance with MCMC technical standards and industry best practices. Customers engaging in activities such as tethering, bulk messaging, or commercial use may be subject to review.

Plan Downgrade and Upgrade Policy

Customers may downgrade their plan once per billing cycle. Downgrading results in the forfeiture of any remaining data or benefits associated with the higher-tier plan. Upgrades are permitted at anytime and take effect immediately upon payment. Customers should evaluate their usage needs before making changes to avoid unintended loss of benefits.

Plan Suspension Clause

tone wow reserves the right to suspend or terminate any plan if it is found to be misused, fraudulently activated, or in breach of the GTC. Suspended accounts may be reinstated upon investigation, but repeated violations may result in permanent termination.

MEMBER PORTAL & DIGITAL SERVICES

tone wow Mobile App

The tone wow 2.0 app is available for Android, iOS or Huawei App Gallery devices and serves as the primary interface for account management. Customers can log in using their NRIC or passport number. The default password is “123456” and must be changed upon first login to ensure account security.

TWMMS Web Portal

The TWMMS portal provides a comprehensive dashboard for managing account details, tracking incentives, designating beneficiaries, and accessing transaction history. Customers may also reset their password through the portal. A nominal fee of RM0.50 may be charged for password resets if monthly incentive are available in the account.

Digital Consent and Legal Validity

All actions performed via the tone wow app or TWMMS portal are considered legally binding under the Electronic Commerce Act 2006. By using these platforms, customers consent to electronic transactions and communications. tone wow maintains audit logs and timestamped records to ensure traceability and compliance.

LOYALTY PROGRAMS & REWARDS

WOWcher Loyalty Program

The WOWcher program rewards customers with points for every top-up made. Points can be redeemed for mobile data, air time credit, or partner vouchers. Points are valid for two years from the date of issuance and are non-transferable. Redemption must be completed through the tone wow app.

SETIAGB Tenure-Based Rewards

SETIAGB rewards long-term customers with additional data allocations based on tenure milestones. Eligible customers will receive a redemption SMS when their plan is auto-renewed or when they subscribe to a new plan. The SETIAGB benefit must be redeemed within 7 days from the date of the redemption SMS is received. Redeemed data must be consumed subject to expiry terms. Customers are encouraged to redeem promptly to avoid forfeiture.

Program Termination Clause

tone wow reserves the right to modify or terminate loyalty programs without prior notice. Changes will be communicated via SMS, app notifications, and official website updates. Customers are advised to monitor announcements to ensure timely redemption of benefits.
